« Have You Been Through Changes this Summer?
Specialized Training by a Reference Librarian »

Welcome to the Harrisburg Library Blogs

Posted by admin on Aug 28, 2005

Welcome back to campus, hopefully all students had a good summer. The first thing that you probably noticed is that changes have been made around the library; the most obvious of which is the absence of the circulation counter. In its place are an information desk, open reserve collection, and lots of new comfy seating. The information desk will be staffed at all hours. For in-depth reference questions, students, faculty and other patrons will be referred to a reference librarian.

Due to the removal of the circulation counter, changes to the closed reserve collection have been made. Current law reviews can now be found shelved with the bound volumes. Open reserve consists of: a set of Purdonís, the Pennsylvania Code, Nutshells, Hornbooks, Uniform Laws Annotated, and Restatements of the Law. The closed reserve collection now houses: Examples and Explanations series, Understand the Law series, videos, CDs, and course reserve materials
