Posted by admin on Jan 5, 2006

The United States Senate’s Committee on the Judiciary will begin the
nomination hearing of Samuel A. Alito, Jr. to the Supreme Court on
Monday, January 9th, 2006. Visit the committee’s website
for information on
the hearings. The committee’s website also contains the public version
of the questionnaire Judge Alito completed for the committee. [Note:
Page 11 of this document lists a talk Judge Alito gave at Widener Law
School's Harrisburg campus in the early 1990s on Federal Sentencing.]

The American Bar Association’s Standing Committee on the Federal
Judiciary has rated Judge Alito “Well Qualified” for the position of
Associate Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court. That is the committee’s highest
rating. Visit the ABA website for more information on how those ratings are decided.
