Soon the library will be verifying all Westlaw and Lexis passwords
against the official list of registered students. If you have changed
your name with the Registrar’s Office, please contact the CALR
Librarian, Mary Alice Peeling at (302) 477-2115. You will also need to
change your account information with both Westlaw and Lexis. Please
leave a voice mail message with spelling of your old and new name with
Ms. Peeling. Taking these steps will ensure that your Westlaw and Lexis
passwords are not deactivated.

Sentate confirms Roberts

The U.S. Senate confirmed the 17th Chief Justice of the
United States today in a 78-22 vote. Chief Justice Roberts is the
youngest person (50 years old) to be confirmed as Chief Justice in 200

Find Appellate Briefs Online

A new online research guide is available to help users find appellate
briefs. LLRX Briefs list both free and fee based sources for briefs,
including those available from free courts, governmental agencies, and
other organizations. LLRX  is a wonderful online resources that
provides in depth articles on many legal research topics.

Administrative Research Guide online

The Library of Congress has updated its Administrative Law Guide
online. This helpful guide will lead users through the process of
finding administrative rulings / regulations. Information is available
on finding presidential and executive branch materials as well as
agency specific materials. Although this guide is targeted at helping
users of the Library of Congress find materials, Widener’s Legal
Information Center has many of these materials available for you to use
as well. Please see a reference librarian if you need help locating
materials.

National Electronic Records Archive to be created

The National Archives has announced
that a contractor has been selected to create an Electronic Records
Archive for the agency. The system will “capture and preserve the
electronic records of the Federal
Government, regardless of format, ensure hardware and software
independence, and provide access to the American Public and Federal
officials.”

Attention Tulane and Loyola Law Students

Widener University School of Law will admit any Tulane or Loyola law student who applies to either its Delaware or Harrisburg Campus.

Students will be admitted for the Fall Semester and, if needed by Tulane or Loyola, the Spring Semester as well.

We will admit any Tulane or Loyola student, 3L, 2L, or 1L.

We anticipate being able to accommodate all interested students.

There will be no tuition or fees charged to students who have paid Tulane or Loyola for the Fall Semester.
